The Haz /Mat and Weapons of Mass Destruction Teams

were Created out of Necessity to Protect

the City of Myrtle Beach and the Surrounding Areas from the Possibility of

Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) dangers.

Personnel are Trained to the Level of HazMat Technicians.

Requirements include 

  • IDENTIFICATION

  • AIR MONITORING

  • PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

  • DECONTAMINATION

  • SPILL & LEAK CONTROL

  • Mitigation
