Emergency Manager

The Emergency Management Division of Myrtle Beach is responsible for coordinating preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts for a wide range of incidents. This includes natural disasters such as hurricanes, flooding, and severe storms; human-made emergencies like hazardous material spills, infrastructure failures, and acts of violence; and large-scale special events that require multi-agency coordination to ensure public safety. The division is also responsible for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) which is capable of being activated 24/7/365 in the event of a disaster.
